Mary C. Simpson, 67, of Egg Harbor Township, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 with her family at her side, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Linwood. She was born and raised in Atlantic City and was a 1962 graduate of Holy Spirit High School. She began her working career with Glenn Insurance, then worked for IBM, retiring with them after 30 years. She continued with Lockheed Martin in Egg Harbor Twp., where she retired April 1, 2012. Mary was the Green Bay Packers biggest fan in New Jersey, highlighted by her attending a game at Lambeau Field for her 60th birthday. She excelled at bowling, deep sea fishing (175 lb. shark), skiing and golfing. Golden Nugget has stopped their non-support law suit and instead they are retiring her chair at her favorite poker machine. Mary also was a charitable sponsor to many veterans groups, having a strong sense of patriotism. She also donated time to Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph E. and Mary C. Simpson; and her brothers, Joey and Gene. She is survived by her brother, Edward G. (Georgia) Simpson and her beloved nieces and nephews, whom she gave skiing lessons.

Visitation will be 7PM to 9PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. Then again on Thursday from 10AM to 10:45AM at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Church, 1421 New Rd. Northfield. A funeral mass will be offered at 11AM. Burial will follow at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly requests a donation to your favorite charity.
