Obituary For Mary K. DeLuca
DeLuca, Mary K., 64, of Absecon, passed away April 1, 2024. Born in Somers Point, she was a life-long resident of Absecon. She was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School. Mary was a cook and server with Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Twp. and also Up The Creek in Absecon, for several years before her retirement. In her free time, she loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of VFW Post #9462 Auxiliary in Absecon. She also enjoyed being in nature and taking time outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and the feeling of renewal. She was also an animal lover over the years, to several animals at home, including most recently, her cat Bella.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. DeLuca in 2022; and her sister, Helen Iaconelli. She is survived by her son, Joseph D. DeLuca (Liz), step-daughter, Jeananne Attardi (Paul); her brothers, Richard Dutton, Michael Dutton (Carol) and Dan Dutton (Betsy); her grandchildren, Anna, JJ and Ashlynn; as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 11AM to 12PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow at 12PM. Graveside service will be at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Mays Landing. Memorial contributions may be made to Absecon VFW #9462, PO Box 136, Absecon, NJ 08201 or the Atlantic County Humane Society, 1401 Absecon Blvd, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
