Mary Monica Ferragame

Ferragame, Mary Monica Rose (nee League) Jacobs, 67, of Absecon and Philadelphia, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born in Atlantic City and raised in Pleasantville, raised her children in Brigantine and the later years of her life were spent in Absecon and Philadelphia. She was a very active parishioner, being a Eucharistic minister, in different parishes in her lifetime, with the most recent being St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon, where she was also a member of the choir. Among her many loves of dancing, traveling and playing canasta, her most favorite thing in the world was devoting all the time she could to helping others, especially her children and grandchildren who always made her proud.

She is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Bud; her parents, Edgar and Rose (Mellen) League; and her brother and sisters, Ed League, Rosemary Ricci, Peggy Hopkins and Nancy Notaro. Mary is survived by her children, Carmela Jacobs Tobin, Anthony (Antoinette) Jacobs, AnnaMaria (Peter) Marczyk, Joseph Ferragame, Matthew (Gina) Ferragame and Vincent (Maria) Ferragame; her brothers, Joseph (Florence) League, Mick (Sis) League and Peter (Lynn) League; and her 17 grandchildren, Ricky, Vienna, Brandon, Peter, Alexsia, Dylan, Stanley, Nicholas, Theo, AnnaMaria, Desiree, Michael, Phoenix, Rose, Mackenzie, Ruby Mae and Faith. She was also the loving ‘Auntie M’ to countess nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 8AM to 10:45AM, Monday, March 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ 08201. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 11AM. Burial will take place at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Township. The family requests donations in Mary’s name be made to an Alzheimer’s research charity. For online condolences, please visit www.
