Mary Tomaino

Mary 'Molly” Elizabeth (Balzano) Tomaino, 49, Absecon, New Jersey, died May 20, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born March 8, 1963 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John F. and Mary E. (Wood) Balzano. She married Mario Tomaino on July 1, 1989, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona, PA.

Surviving are her husband Mario Tomaino and two children: Alex and Andrew Tomaino, both at home. Also surviving are seven siblings: Dr. Patricia Sanker, Mechanicsburg, PA; Christine Fuoss (Mark, MD) of Sewickley, PA; Jane Stitko (Donald) of Gallitzin. PA; John Balzano of Altoona, PA; Ann Stone (William) of York, PA; Judith Tucci (Maurilio) of Absecon, NJ; Martha Schwing of Elizabethtown, PA.

Molly leaves behind 12 nephews and nieces: Brian (Lauren) Sanker; Adam (Ashley) Fuoss; Sarah and Benjamin Fuoss; Nathan (Alicia) Stone; Sean (Mary) Stone; Michael and David Tucci, Allison, Ryan, Matthew and Bethany Schwing.

Molly was a 1984 graduate of Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated in two majors: Bachelor of Science in Administration and Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. During her time at Chatham, she spent two semesters in Mexico studying Spanish. She was fluent in both Spanish and Italian. Molly was a 16-year employee of the Marriot Corporation where she was Regional Director of Marketing - Time Share Division.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 12PM to 1:45PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered at 2PM. Private Committal Ceremony will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, PA at the convenience of the family.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Alex and Andrew Tomaino for their future education.
