Michael Derogatis

Michael DeRogatis, 79, of Lakewood Ranch, Fl, died October 5, 2012. He was born in Newark, NJ. He moved to Florida from Absecon, NJ with his wife in 2000. Michael proudly served in the US Army as an officer. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University; a past president of Atlantic City Rotary International; and a past president of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce for fifteen years. He owned DeRogatis’ Restaurant in Neptune City, NJ, as well. Michael was an avid golfer, previously a member of the Spring Lake Country Club, Atlantic City Country Club and the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

He was predeceased in death by his beloved son Allen, his brothers Al, Pat and Larry, and his sister Rosie. He is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his sister-in-law Louise, his Godsons Alex Town and Stephen Moran, III and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:45AM to 10:45AM, Friday, October 12, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A funeral mass will be offered at 11AM in the church. Burial will follow at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or the American Heart Association.
