Patrick Sean O'Brien

Patrick Sean O’Brien, 35, of Galloway. NJ passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 7, 2021. Patrick was a loving and kind-hearted man. From a very young age, he had a love for animals and rescued many over the years. He even volunteered at The Humane Society of Atlantic County which resulted in him bargaining with his parents to please bring some home. Patrick had a love for the great outdoors and especially loved kayaking Lake Lenape with his dad. He had a love for woodworking and crafting, a talent he hid for many years. Patrick’s sense of humor, sarcasm, many selfies and silly faces will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Patrick is survived by his parents, Martha (Lenny) Gaines and Paul O’Brien. His siblings, Gary Brenner Jr, Stacey Dempsey, Stephen O’Brien, Sarah Martinez, Kaitlyn Ganard and Christopher Gaines. He leaves behind his daughter, and love of his life, Makayla O’Brien. His girlfriend, Caitlin Carlamere and her two children, Peyton and Damian, whom he loved and adored. His lifelong friends, Shawn Dobias and Katie Christian, whose friendship meant the world to him.

Patrick adored his entire family and always strived to make them proud. His huge giving heart has led to helping save three strangers he never met. Patrick was an organ donor and his generosity allowed three recipients to receive his heart, kidneys and liver. Patrick is and always will be a hero. His family is beyond proud of the choice he made to help others in such a selfless way. They will always remember him as the hero he is.

A public gathering will be 3:30PM to 5PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service, by invitation only, will be conducted at 5PM.
