Pedro (Pete) J. Diaz

Diaz, Pedro (Pete) J., 68, of Absecon, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. Born in Puerto Rico, he lived in New York and Bayonne before moving to south Jersey, settling in Absecon 20 years ago. Pete worked as an independent sales contractor for many years before his retirement in 2018. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the bass guitar and was a writer, having written many poems. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Mets, Knicks and Giants. He also enjoyed showing his nieces and nephews how to play the sports they were involved in, giving them pointers in their various games.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Yolanda Vega-Diaz. He is survived by his sisters and brother, Luz T. Hay, Myriam Rodriguez (Jose), Maria MacIntyre (Thomas), Sally Colon (Antonio) and Luis E. Diaz (Jeanette); as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be conducted 2PM to 6PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will be conducted during the visitation hours at 5PM.
