Obituary For Raymond W. Conover, Jr.
Conover, Jr., Raymond W., 86, of Absecon, passed away peacefully, at home on November 19, 2022. Born in Atlantic City, he’s lived in Absecon for 60 years. Mr. Conover served in the US Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He worked for the FAA Technical Center as an air traffic controller and finished his career as a limousine driver for Trump Properties in Atlantic City, retiring in 2008. He was a charter member of the Absecon Jaycees and served as president. He was a member of ASAC and a charter member of the Marine Corp League. He was past president of the Absecon Board of Health.
He is predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Grant Michael. He’s survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy J. (Sweeney) Conover; his children, Raymond W. Conover, III, Christine Roche (Timothy) and Dawn Conover Coyle; his grandchildren, Raymond IV (Joanna), Hayley (Billy), Emily (Matt), Kayla (Arielle), Liam and Michael; and his great-grandchildren, Callie and Finn.
Visitation will be 12:30PM to 2PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow at 2PM. Burial with military honors will take place at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
