Reine-Marie Martha Fields

Reine-Marie Martha Fields, 96, of Egg Harbor Township, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Viavon, France, she moved to the United States in 1946, living in the same house in Egg Harbor Township until her passing. Mrs. Fields held many jobs in the local area, lastly working in the Housekeeping Department at Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division until her retirement. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Pleasantville and an active member of the Atlantic County Senior Center in Northfield. She enjoyed being able to spend time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fields also loved being able to return to France for visits with her family, which she was able to do several times over the years. Her family will remember her for her dedication to them and also as a hardworking woman.

She is predeceased by her husband, William H. Fields. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie M. (Fred) Zdeb of Newark, DE and Serge (Julie) Fields of Galloway; her grandchildren, Rosemarie C. Pyle, Nicholas F. Zdeb, Michelle R. Zdeb, Carrie A. Giaconia, Stacie A. Fields, Jamie L. Caffarelli; and her 15 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

A memorial gathering will be 11AM to 12PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ 08201. A service will follow immediately at 12PM.
