Richard G. Trefero

Trefero, Richard G., age 87, of Galloway, NJ, passed away on July 2, 2022, after a long illness. Richard was born May 17, 1935, in Barnesboro, Pa. He was a plumber by trade, working independently and for Jenkins Plumbing and Heating. He also worked as a chef at Claridge Casino, a real estate agent for Century 21, a driver for Joe & John's Pizzeria and an antiques dealer at flea markets.

Richard is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Christina (nee Kerr) Trefero; his brothers, Francis and William Trefero; and his sisters, Rosemary "Joyce" Ciolorito, Dorothy Zavatchan, Helen, Shirley, Janet and Patricia Trefero, and Vivian Brown. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (nee Bell); his son, Scott Trefero; his daughter, Tammy Trefero; his grandson, Anthony Scott Marquez; and many nieces and nephews, including Janice Ciolorito Turner, Susan Ciolorito, Richard Zavatchan and Michael Trefero.

Richard was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed all sports and loved to spend his time golfing, bowling and fishing, excelling in them all. He also enjoyed going to the casinos, especially the Borgata, with his family. Richard loved people and had a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. His family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace and is watching over them.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Church of the Assumption, 146 Pitney Rd, Galloway. Burial will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.parselsfh.com.
