Robert W. Jerdan

Jerdan, Robert William, 'Pop' - of Absecon, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Monday, September 29, 2014, at the age of 86. Robert was born in Philadelphia on October 12, 1927 and grew up in Atlantic City before settling in Absecon. Robert was a Merchant Marine and worked for Motorola early in his career. He retired from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall as a stage hand, setting up countless years of Miss America Pageants and Ice Capades. Robert is survived by his five children: Patricia Fagan (Joseph), JoAnna Santora, Linda Amato, James Jerdan (Jo), and Barbara Bradley (Roy); grandchildren: Robert Jerdan (Solange), Jennifer Innis, R.J. Amato (Brittany), and Matthew Bradley; great grandchildren: Steven, Peter, and Landon; brother, William Jerdan and sister, Margaret Herman. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Parsel’s Funeral Home, Absecon. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
