Silipena, Rose Margaret (Schroeder), of Devonshire, NJ, passed away April 29, 2017. She was born April 8, 1928 to John and Coralie (Horner) Schroeder in Egg Harbor City, NJ. She’s lived in Devonshire for over 40 years. She’s predeceased by her loving husband, John Silipena; and her sisters, Ruth Schroeder, Elizabeth Birtch and Edna Long. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Silipena Kabala and her companion, Donald B. She worked at local factories in South Jersey, including Wheaton’s Glass Factory before she traded in her career for a much more rewarding position as a housewife and stay at home mom. Her passions were her grandsons, who she loved dearly and were her world. She was always so proud of them. She also had a soft spot for all animals, especially the cats who found their way to her home. She was an advocate of ‘trap and release’. Every cat had a name and her love. She also loved all music, whiskey sours, lobster and Olive Garden’s gnocci soup. The family would like to express a special and heartfelt thank you to the nurses and aides at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor Twp., she loved them all.
