Obituary For Ruby J. Whitmer Grey
Whitmer Grey, Ruby J., 89, of Absecon, passed away February 15, 2023. She was born May 18, 1933 in Richmond Virginia. She was a graduate of Martinsurg High School in Martinsburg, WV. She later lived in Coatesville, PA for 25 years, before retiring to Melbourne, FL, where she lived for 40 years. She moved back to Galloway Township, NJ, living at Spring Home, to be closer to her family. She worked as a coder for Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville for 25 years, before her retirement. While living in Melbourne, she was a member of River Run Christian Church.
She is predeceased by her husband, William I Grey; her parents, Russell A Whitmer and Lona Victoria Snyder; and her brother, Leonard Ray Whitmer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Michael Czechowski of Absecon, NJ; her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and James Shade, of Martinsburg, WV; her grandchildren, Michelle Cognetti, Eric Czechowski and Bradley Czechowski and their spouses; and her 6 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10AM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Rosedale Cemetery, 917 Cemetery Rd., Martinsburg, WV 25404. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Alzheimers Association (https://act.alz.org). For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
