Obituary For Sherry L. Heiland
Heiland (Williams), Sherry Lynn, 61, of Absecon, passed away on June 23, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Atlantic City and spent her childhood in Pleasantville where she graduated from St. Peter’s Grammar School in Pleasantville and also Holy Spirit High School, class of 1981. She Remained in Pleasantville until she was married and moved to Absecon 34 years ago. She was a bank teller at Wells Fargo in Linwood, Tuckerton, and Margate. Sherry spent years being a volunteer for Absecon ASAC sports, as well as a room-mom for the Absecon Schools, a Girl Scout Leader, and a CCD teacher. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the beach, the lake, on ski trips in the mountains, or on the boat in the bay for a sunset cruise. Her favorite place besides home was Florida, seeing family or going to Disney. She enjoyed movies and TV, spending entire afternoons binge-watching her favorite shows. She loved spending holiday celebrations with her friends and family. She adored butterflies, giraffes and flamingos, every shade of purple, and country music. Sherry always spread kindness to others, loved others and would want to be loved, and shared a smile that would brighten a room. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert Williams and Gail Steveline Williams. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Kirk W. Heiland; her loving children, Kirk J. Heiland and Brooke Heiland; her brother, Bob Williams (Annette Dunleavy Williams); and her adoring nieces, Angela Williams and Melissa Lynn Williams. Visitation will be at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon on Monday July 1, 2024 from 5PM to 7PM followed by a service at 7PM. A funeral mass will be offered at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon the following day, Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 10AM. Burial will immediately follow at Laurel Memorial in Egg Harbor Twp. Online condolences may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
