Sylvia E. Pye

Pye, Sylvia E., 73, passed away May 18, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Ventnor, she lived in National Park before moving to Galloway 21 years ago. She enjoyed long walks on the beach and also baking at the Acme Markets, where she worked for several years. Her hobbies included writing novels and short stories. She had some of her work published by Publish America, including ‘Quest’ in 2002 and ‘Dusty the Magic Gold Dust’ in 2004. She also wrote a children’s book called Counting Animals with Jack!, A 1-10 Number Picture Book, published some years ago. She also loved life and is one of our best friend’s.

Surviving members of the family include her husband, Thomas E. Pye, Sr.; her son, Thomas E. Pye, Jr.; her sisters, Greta Bonello and Gertrude Wells; as well as her cousins, aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind a loving memory that we will always cherish.

Visitation will be 10AM to 12PM Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow a 12PM. Graveside service will be at Germania Cemetery in Galloway. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
