Theresa Jean Brown

Brown, Theresa Jean (Massler), of Absecon, passed away peacefully December 16, 2016. She was born in Weirton, WV to the late Andrew and Theresa Massler. She was a 1948 graduate of Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City. She worked Kensington Furniture for 20 years as an accounts manager, retiring several years ago. She was a former member of the South Jersey Singing Group, the Jubilaires, during the 1970’s. She was an avid gardener, a lover of pets, a virtuoso at puzzles of all shapes and sizes and big Philadelphia Phillies fan. She loved to travel and sightsee and will also be remembered for being an expert cook, whose holiday meals are things of legend. We would like to offer a most sincere thank you to Mrs. Florence Waniak of Absecon, who has been her very best friend for over 50 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Elwood G. Brown and her daughter, Theresa Maureen Brown. She is survived by her sons, Raymond and Lawrence Brown; her grandsons, Thomas Williams, Matthew Williams and Mark Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alaina, Declan, Sawyer and Quinn Williams.

Visitation will be 9:15AM to 10:45AM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A funeral mass will follow at 11AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. For those wishing, please visit www.parselsfh.com for online condolences.
