William Edward Phillips

Phillips, William E., of Somers Point, passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016. Born in Somers Point, he grew up in Linwood and attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School. He also lived in Long Beach Island before moving back to Somers Point. William was an entertainer, singer and song writer. He was well known for being an Elvis impersonator, appearing at various venues in Atlantic County. He is also a parishioner with St. Joseph’s Church in Somers Point.

He is survived by his niece and her husband, Crystal Phillips and Amando Quijano; his nephew, Michael James Phillips, II; his great niece and nephews, Cellina, Michael and Faustino Rodriguez; his friend, Betsy Heil; his girlfriend and her son, Kartha Mooney and Steven Mooney; and his best friend, James Bennett.

A graveside service will be 3:30PM Monday August 22, 2016 at Lincoln Memorial Park, Route 40, Mays Landing. Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon is handling arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
