William F. Olson

William (“Billy”) F. Olson, 56, passed on Oct. 21, 2014 after battling cancer, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Somers Point & resided in Absecon. After graduating from HSHS in 1977, he started a career in the auto body business working with his brother, Gary. In 1992, he started working w/ the City of Atlantic City Body Shop, & First Vehicle Services. He was predeceased by his mother, Irene A. Olson, & father, Floyd E. Olson, both of Absecon, & sister-in-law, Judith A. Olson. He is survived by two brothers, Garrett & Gregory Olson, nieces, Kirsten Olson, Kelly Algozzini; nephews, John, Stephen, Michael Olson, many great nieces, nephews, cousins, & very dear companion, Diane Foltz.

Billy had a great group of life-long friends who he loved getting together with at local taverns. He was a great cook, making soup, bread & great holiday dinners, & always had a roaring fire going in his fireplace. He was an avid NY Mets & NY Jets fan & loved going to stock-car races with his long-time friend Matt. Billy had a huge, kind heart, & loved living. He stayed positive during his battle with cancer, laughing and flirting with the nurses, family and friends throughout his treatment. He fought until the very end.

A Memorial gathering will be held 3PM to 5PM, with a service a 4:30PM, Saturday November 1, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 NJ Ave., Absecon. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
