William L. Hummel

William Hummel, 85 of Absecon passed away on November 15, 2014. Born in Hammonton, He served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1955 He became a member of the IUOE Local 25, as an Engineer. He worked on Dredges throughout the Northeast.

He was predeceased by his Father, Charles and Mother, Mary; a son, Richard; granddaughter, Kimberly; sisters, Mary Perino, Catherine Luca, Elizabeth Thibault, Claire Bonanta and Helen DeWitt; and his brothers, Joseph and Walter. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; his son, William Jr; his brothers, Charles, John, and George (Antoinette); his sisters, Margaret Pagano, Sarah Meade, Jennie Barbera, Dorothy Edwards, Virginia (Daniel) Fiolo. Also surviving are Anita (Robbie) Wood, Autumn, Soren Wood and Faith Barlow, Theresa (Ben) Zubak, Arthur Thompson Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 7PM to 9PM, Friday, December 21, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ. Visitation will also be 10AM to 11AM, Saturday November 22, also at the funeral home. A service will follow immediately at 11AM. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ.
