Obituary For William R. Stevens
STEVENS, WILLIAM R. (Bill, Mr. Bill), 79 of Galloway, passed away on October 11, 2021. Bill was born on February 7, 1942 and was a 1961 graduate of Atlantic City High School. He worked for Stockton University, Feriozzi Concrete, Stevens Dock Rods & Bolts, the Atlantic City Expressway and also belonged to Local 692 in Atlantic City. Mr. Bill was always tinkering with something whether it was a car or lawnmower for someone. He was very proud of himself and his many friends that helped build the addition on his home and the two-car garage in the backyard. That two-car garage became his woodshop where he enjoyed making furniture and birdhouses for family and friends. Mr. Bill spent many nights at the Galloway Township ball field as an umpire or a spectator at his children’s sporting events as they were growing up. He was also an avid bowler alongside his wife at the local lanes. Beloved husband of the late Roberta Stevens, he is preceded by his parents, Leroy & Ellen Stevens and his brother, Ronnie Stevens. He is survived by children, Yvonne (Steve); Sherri, Debi (Ralph); William Jr. (Donna), Robert (Gina); his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed dearly by Miranda Noguez (caregiver). For online condolences please visit www.parselsfh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Wildlife Aid, 155 Asbury Ave. Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 or Cape-Atlantic C.A.T.S, 959 Asbury Ave. Ocean City, NJ 08226.
